BAHAWALNAGAR: A notification has been issued to close educational institutions in Bahawalnagar due to flood situation in the Sutlej River.
A letter issued by the School Education Department on the instructions of the Punjab government states that government and private schools, colleges and universities will remain closed till September 5.
The Punjab Education Department says that activities in academies and tuition centers will also remain suspended. According to the letter, the decision to close educational institutions has been taken due to severe floods in the Ravi, Chenab and Sutlej rivers.
