ISLAMABAD: Ambassador Jiang Zaidong of China Saturday called on Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and they exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and agreed to maintain close communication and coordination.
During the meeting, they also reaffirmed the all-weather strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.
Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar visited the Operations Room, established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to monitor the developments in Pakistan-India relations.
The DPM interacted with the officers on duty and appreciated their vigilance and preparedness.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
The DPM briefed him on recent developments in Pakistan-India relations and rejected India’s baseless allegations. He cautioned against any further escalatory move by India and appreciated the efforts of Iran to diffuse the situation in the region.
DPM Ishaq Dar also wished all the success for the Iran-US dialogue to be held in Muscat on Saturday.
