Former interior minister Raja Nadir Pervez passes away

FAISLABAD: Former Federal Interior Minister Raja Nadir Pervez has passed away. As soon as the news of his death came out, deep grief and sorrow were expressed in political, social and public circles.

Raja Nadir Pervez belonged to Faisalabad and was known as an experienced politician.

Raja Nadir Pervez served as a Member of the National Assembly several times in his political life, and also held important positions as Federal Minister for Communications and Federal Minister for Water and Power at different times, where he played a prominent role in the infrastructure and energy sectors. His policy-making and administrative skills were also appreciated by political opponents.

Along with political services, Raja Nadir Pervez also held various responsibilities within the Pakistan Armed Forces, which are a manifestation of his all-around personality.

His opinion on matters of national security and national interest was always given importance.

According to family sources, the funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered at the Army Cemetery in Rawalpindi, in which a large number of political figures, military officials, local people and people from different walks of life are expected to participate.

The President, Prime Minister, political leaders and public representatives expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Raja Nader Pervez and prayed for forgiveness for the deceased and patience for the bereaved family. His death is being described as a great loss for the country’s politics.
