Former Senator Taj Afridi Killed in Motorway Accident

PESHAWAR: Former senator Taj Afridi was killed in a tragic traffic accident on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway, authorities confirmed on Thursday.

According to the Motorway Police, the accident occurred near the Colonel Sher Khan Interchange when Afridi’s vehicle was involved in a crash while traveling from Islamabad to Peshawar.

Initial reports suggest that the accident may have been caused by a mechanical fault in the vehicle. Rescue officials and law enforcement personnel responded to the scene shortly after the incident.

Authorities said further details are being collected, while an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The news of Taj Afridi’s death has sparked grief among political and social circles, with many expressing condolences over the loss of the former senator.
