Four FC personnel embrace martyrdom in Quetta Blast

QUETTA: In yet another tragic incident, at least four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel have embraced martyrdom and three were injured in a heinous attack near a bomb disposal squad in the Margate area of Quetta on Friday.

The target of the attack was the security forces as they were in the area disposing of the already transmitted improvised explosive device (IED).

The martyr FC personnel were identified as Subedar Shahzad Amin, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, and Sepoy Zahid.Lance Naik Zafar, Lance Naik Farooq, and Sepoy Khurram Saleem were among the injured and were taken to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Following the explosion, security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the suspects responsible for the attack. Authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Previously, at least three individuals have lost their lives and five more have been injured in an explosion in the Amiri area of Kalat district in Balochistan, Levies officials said on Thursday.

As per the details, an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted alongside the road as the automobile passed by, and the IED exploded, leaving three dead and five injured.
