QUETTA: Two cops among twelve people injured in a blast near a police van on the Eastern Bypass in Quetta on Wednesday, police officials said.
The police mobile was targeted in an explosion that injured 12 individuals including two policemen, Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind confirmed.
According to law enforcers, a bomb disposal squad was called to determine the nature of the blast, and an investigation was launched into the incident.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack on the police mobile, stating that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
He further directed concerned authorities to provide the best medical care to the officers and civilians injured in the explosion.
“Terrorists will be brought to justice,” he said, adding that terrorists are cowards who always search for soft targets and action against them will continue.
