Four ‘Raw agents’ apprehended by SIU in Karachi

KARACHI: In a major operation in Karachi, Security agencies and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) have captured four agents allegedly working for the Indian spy agency Research & Analysis Wing (RAW), according to police officials.

According to details, the suspects were detained following a tip-off about the presence of the outlaws in the region.

The arrested agents were in direct contact with serving indian military officials, according to the police officials.

The suspects were involved in sending sensitive photographs and geolocation to the Indian agencies . The police recovered explosives, a vehicle, and weapons from the suspects

“All four suspects are residents of Sujawal district and have crossed the Indian border more than 20 times,” SSP SIU revealed.

Cases under anti-state and espionage charges have been registered against the suspects. SSP Shoaib Memon confirmed that further investigations are underway to trace their network and additional accomplices.
