SARGODHA: In a tragic event, at least six children, four of whom were sisters, died of suffocation on Monday in Sargodha, Rescue 1122 said in a statement.
“The family left after cleaning the wheat drum in the house. The youngsters entered the wheat drum to play while lying down and got trapped inside it, and finally died from suffocation, according to the report.
The event occurred at Chak No. 12, Jinnah Colony, Sargodha District of Punjab.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz consoles the death of youngsters in the sad event.
According to the statement, the deceased children were named Saima, Amna, Sawera, Dua Fatima, Sonia, and Maryam.
