GILGIT: Chief Election Commissioner of Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Shahbaz has announced decisions on petitions related to election disputes, recount, repolling and other objections in various constituencies.

The Chief Election Commissioner rejected the petition for recount in GBA-17 Diamer-3 and upheld the victory of Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Muhammad Naseem.

Similarly, the petition for repolling in GBA-18 Diamer-4 was also rejected, after which the victory of Kifayat-ur-Rehman of Pakistan Muslim League (N) will remain intact.

The election objections filed in GBA-14 Astore-2 were also rejected and the victory of Rana Muhammad Farooq of PML-N was upheld.

Similarly, after the objection was rejected in GBA 20 Ghizer 2, the victory of Abdul Jahan of the Muslim League (N) was upheld.
