Germany, Pakistan discuss digital media cooperation in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:  H.E. Ms. Ina Lepel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Pakistan, called on Mr. Fahd Haroon, Minister of State/Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media, at his office today.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the evolving global landscape of digital platforms, with particular focus on emerging opportunities and challenges in the digital media domain.

Discussions included countering fake news and disinformation, promoting online safety, and addressing the misuse of digital platforms for illegal activities, as well as other matters of mutual interest.

Mr. Jan Gerald Krausser, Head of Communications, Cultural Affairs, and Protocol at the German Embassy, was also present on the occasion.
