Islamabad: The government has officially declared a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, as confirmed by a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 8 per liter.
After the reduction, the new price of petrol has been set at Rs 259.34 per liter.
The price of diesel remains unchanged at Rs 276.21 per liter, as per the notification.
This reduction in petrol prices is effective from midnight tonight, marking a welcome relief for consumers. The decision is in line with the government’s efforts to mitigate the impact of rising global oil prices on the local population.

The price of Kerosene oil had dropped to Rs188.83 after a reduction of Rs2.19 per litre while Light Diesel Oil will be sold at Rs165.75 as the government has increased the commodity’s price by Rs1.11.
