Government bans Adil Raja under Anti-Terrorism Act

ISLAMABAD:  After the approval of the federal cabinet, the government has banned Adil Raja under Section 11EE of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The Interior Ministry issued a formal notification stating that Adil Raja’s name has been included in the Fourth Schedule.

A spokesperson for the Interior Ministry said that this action was taken on the charges of involvement in anti-state activities and spreading anti-state narratives through social media.

While approving the ban, the federal cabinet said that immediate steps will be taken against any individual to prevent anti-state activities under the law.

This step is being described as an important step taken by the government to protect the security and legal boundaries of the state under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
