Govt announces Christmas bonus for Christian employees

LAHORE: : Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced to give a salary bonus to Christian employees on the occasion of Christmas.

A Christmas ceremony was held at Alhamra Arts Council Lahore in which Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Uzma Bukhari attended as the chief guest.

The provincial information minister distributed gifts to Christian employees on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and also cut a Christmas cake with the Christian employees.

She said that Christians are equal participants in the joy of their brothers and sisters on the occasion of Christmas, she said that minorities are very close to the heart of the Punjab Chief Minister.

Uzma Bukhari said that Christian employees are our pride and their services are commendable, the Punjab government is using all possible resources for the protection and welfare of minorities.
