LAHORE: The high-level meeting held in Punjab had various important decisions passed under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, who serves as the chairperson for the meeting while she governs the province as chief minister.
The agricultural mission presented at the important meeting, which the Chief Minister chaired, aims to create a modern agricultural revolution through its efforts to empower farmers.
The Chief Minister introduced various measures that will enable farmers to cultivate barren land and use hydroponic farming methods while boosting agricultural export activities.
The meeting approved the expansion of projects, which include tractors, super seeds, and polarization, and the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” program.
The organization decided to support youth agricultural training through the inclusion of Agriculture Interns in the “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” program.
The Chief Minister announced that Agriculture Interns will receive a monthly stipend of PKR 70,000, while he described Punjab’s youth as future leaders who will drive an agricultural revolution.
The meeting established a provincial solarization initiative, which will install solar power systems at 10,000 diesel tube wells while setting a goal to distribute 28,000 super seeds by 2028 and choosing to deliver 6,500 advanced agricultural equipment through the High-Tech Mechanization Program until 2028.
The Pothohar Development Program report presented evidence that 400 mini dams had been completed throughout Punjab. The Chief Minister approved the fourth phase of the CM Green Tractor Program, which will provide a PKR 1.5 million subsidy for high-horsepower tractors while increasing the low-horsepower tractor subsidy from PKR 5 lakh to PKR 7 lakh.
The meeting established a goal which would expand Kisan Card scheme participation among farmers, while the Chief Minister expressed his contentment about achieving a 98% recovery rate on the Kisan Card.
