KARACHI: Pakistan continues to support the country’s Christian and other minority communities, especially during major religious festivals, and this time the salaries and pensions of Christian government employees will be paid in advance.

The Sindh government has announced a heartwarming move to ensure that these communities are recognized, supported and allowed to celebrate their religious festivals with enthusiasm.

A notification issued by the provincial government confirmed that the advance payments will be made on December 18. The move will help Christian employees cover their holiday expenses and enjoy the festivities without any delay.

The Christian community is excited to celebrate Christmas with traditional fervor. Special church services will be held in cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, with homes and shops decorated with lights and stars.

Every year, churches were decorated with Christmas trees and lights to celebrate the event and people exchanged gifts, attended church services, and decorated their homes.
