ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that those applicants who do not deposit the second installment on time will not be allowed to go on Hajj 2026.

The installment of dues will be deposited from 3 to 10 November. If the second installment is not deposited, the Hajj application will be canceled, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs will return the first installment to their account.

Hajj dues can be deposited in 14 selected banks. In the second installment, 6 lakh rupees per person will be collected from the applicants.

According to sources, applicants will be able to change the package at the time of payment of the second installment.

After payment of the installment, the Hajj package cannot be allowed to be changed.

Under the residential package, those who choose a double-bed family room will have to pay an additional Rs. 200,000, and those who choose a triple-bed family room will have to pay an additional Rs. 67,000 per person.

Earlier, the Ministry of Religious Affairs declared a new policy for registered pilgrims who cannot perform Hajj because of unavoidable events, such as serious sickness or death.

Under the ministry’s notification, in such instances, a close relative of the registered pilgrim will be entitled to perform Hajj on their behalf.

A pilgrim who cannot travel can substitute another individual or opt for a refund of the amount deposited.

The policy also says that such a request for refund or substitution is required to be accompanied by valid grounds and supporting documents, like a death certificate or a medical certificate.

Applicants will also be asked to provide an affidavit on stamp paper, the original bank deposit slip, and a photocopy of the national identity card.
