HARIPUR: Two people died, and one person was seriously injured in a tragic car accident on the Hazara Expressway.
According to authorities, the accident took place near Haripur when the vehicle was heading to Abbottabad. The car lost control while trying to make a sharp turn, overturned and fell into a nearby drain.
Three people were initially injured in the accident, who were immediately shifted to a nearby trauma center by the Motorway Police and rescue teams. However, despite efforts to save them, two of the victims succumbed to their injuries.
The third person, who was seriously injured, was shifted to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation to find out the causes of the accident. The identities of the deceased and injured have not been released yet.
