Headmaster suspended over alleged involvement in supporting PTI candidate

LAHORE: The Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority took action by suspending the Headmaster of a high school, amid allegations of openly supporting a political candidate.

The suspension comes following accusations leveled by a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) representative against the Headmaster, Ghulam Shabbir, alleging that he was providing overt support to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate, Amir Afzal.

The Chief Executive Officer Education Yasin Baloch promptly issued a notification regarding the suspension of the aforementioned Headmaster from his duties at Parryal High School.

Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a level playing field for all candidates and maintaining the integrity of the electoral process, emphasizing the need for adherence to ethical standards and professional conduct in educational institutions across the district.
