Heavy rains raise flash flood threat in KP

PESHAWAR: There is a risk of flash floods in the upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to heavy rains from today.

According to the PDMA, rain is expected in the upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from today to Thursday, due to which there is a risk of glacial lake bursting and flash floods.

The PDMA says that the risk of glacial lake bursting has increased due to the unusual increase in temperature.

The PDMA further said that instructions have been issued to the relevant districts to take precautionary measures.
