Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that with this internship program, livestock farmers will have access to animal treatment and consulting services at their doorstep.

She insisted that the program is intended to develop and streamline the livestock industry in Punjab, as well as to give young professionals hands-on experience along with monetary benefits.

Maryam Nawaz further emphasized that the government wants to tap the full potential of the livestock sector of Punjab. Through enhanced milk and meat production, the province can contribute substantially to foreign exchange reserves. “We want to make Punjab a hub of livestock and dairy development. We are with livestock farmers today and will be with them in the future,” she said.

It is significant to mention here that quotas have been reserved for Veterinary Assistants, AI Technicians, and Lab Assistants in all 36 districts of Punjab.
