LAHORE: The Punjab Health Department has placed 13 government hospitals in Lahore on high alert for the Basant festival, which runs from February 6 until February 8.
Hospitals must ensure complete doctor, nurse, paramedic, medicine, drip, vaccine, and surgical equipment availability throughout their facilities. Hospitals need to prepare both blood bags and volunteer donor lists before their required time.
The department instructed hospitals to reserve beds for festival emergencies and keep X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI machines fully operational.
Hospitals must keep their mobile and landline systems functional throughout every moment of the day. Administrations must submit detailed preparedness plans to the Punjab Health Department immediately.
The festival requires these steps to deliver immediate medical assistance while maintaining public safety.
