Illegal kidney transplant racket busted in FIA Islamabad raid

ISLAMABAD: A Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team conducted a raid within the jurisdiction of Tarnol Police Station and uncovered an alleged illegal kidney transplant operation in Sector G 16.

As per the initial report, the raid was carried out at House No 137, Street No 10, where authorities discovered evidence of suspected unlawful organ transplantation activities. Several individuals were taken into custody during the operation.

A patient was reportedly recovered from the basement of the house. Following the development, the Inspector General of Islamabad issued immediate instructions to shift the patients to a hospital for urgent medical care.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
