ISLAMABAD: Speaking on the ABN program “Tajzia”, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehryar Afridi said that today is a turning point in Pakistani politics because the Supreme Court’s decision has not only given relief to the founder of PTI but has also created a new hope for the supremacy of democracy and the constitution in the country.

He said that the narratives and trials that have emerged since 2018 are profound and far-reaching, and it is time for PTI workers to remove disappointment and uncertainty from their ranks and stand for national unity.

He said that in the world, India tried to establish its reputation by creating a false impression of “Rising India”, but in reality, the BJP’s agenda has failed.

Shehryar Afridi claimed that India may take any aggressive action against Pakistan to cover up its failures; therefore, national unity and harmony between institutions in the country are the biggest need of the hour.

Shehryar Afridi said that in the last three years, the biggest beneficiaries have been corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who are strengthening the enemy’s agenda by weakening Pakistan internally. According to him, the real losers of this whole game have been Pakistan, the people, the Pakistani army, and Imran Khan.

He further said that Imran Khan has never taken the path of any deal or NRO but has always struggled through the courts and the constitution. Citing the example of Imran Khan’s courage and faith, he said that Khan gave a message to his nation even in difficult times, to live with their heads held high, that this country belongs to everyone, and we all have to take it forward.

The PTI leader said that the recent decision of the Supreme Court is a big step towards the restoration of political culture because the people were becoming disgusted with politics and parliament. This decision is a positive example for the restoration of constitutional supremacy and democratic values.

He said that even today, millions of workers are standing with Imran Khan, and they want to see their leader in action. These workers have linked their lives and dreams with Imran Khan’s struggle because they know that this struggle is not for any personal gain but for the future generations and the future of Pakistan.

Shehryar Afridi concluded his talk by saying that no matter how long the night is, the morning will eventually dawn, and Imran Khan’s struggle is a bright symbol of standing for truth and justice.
