India’s water aggression: Jhelum River flood risk soars

ISLAMABAD: In a shocking development, India has resorted to releasing water into the River Jhelum, sparking concerns over flooding and water aggression.

Reports indicate that India, in a state of panic, released a significant amount of water from its reservoirs, causing the water level of the River Jhelum to rise by 7 to 8 feet above normal levels.

The sudden surge in water flow has led to high flood risks, prompting authorities to issue an alert advising people to stay away from the riverbanks. This move by India comes in the wake of its previous claims regarding the cessation of water supply to Pakistan, raising doubts about the accuracy of such statements.

Experts have pointed out a glaring contradiction between India’s rhetoric and its actions. Despite Indian government claims about cutting off water to Pakistan, the reality proves otherwise, with the release of water into the river, contradicting Prime Minister Modi’s earlier statements.
