InDrive cab driver allegedly assaults female in Lahore

LAHORE: Indrive, a taxi driver of a private cab company is accused of raping and assaulting a female passenger in his vehicle in Sabzazar area of ​​Lahore, here on Sunday.

As per the details, police told media that the female passenger booked the ride through the online ride-hailing service InDrive app. On reaching his friend’s house in Karachipura, the driver asked for water during the flood in the city.

When the woman went to fetch water, the driver managed to sneak into the house and physically and sexually assaulted her.

According to police, it was the woman’s friend’s house and her parents arrived there at the time of the incident and abused the driver before letting him go to avoid further embarrassment.

A case has been registered and police are searching for the accused who is absconding after the incident.
