ISLAMABAD: A section officer in the Ministry of Interior has been abruptly transferred and ordered to report to the Establishment Division following allegations of providing misleading information, sources within the ministry revealed.

The officer, identified as Shaukat Ali Khan, was reportedly responsible for matters related to the Civil Armed Forces.

Sources suggest that Khan provided inaccurate information in reports requested by the Federal Minister, leading to his immediate transfer.

The move to have Khan report to the Establishment Division is seen as a potential precursor to disciplinary action.

The Establishment Division is responsible for personnel matters related to the civil bureaucracy, including disciplinary proceedings.
