Islamabad to ban vehicles without M-Tag from tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that entry of vehicles without M-tag will be banned in Islamabad from January 1 (tomorrow).

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi at the Safe City Headquarters. The Interior Minister reviewed the measures taken to protect the lives and property of citizens.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to expedite work on the Capital Smart City and said that entry of vehicles without M-tag will be banned in Islamabad from January 1.

He said that Islamabad will become the first smart city of Pakistan. The Interior Minister has sought a comprehensive plan to make Islamabad Safe City a Capital Smart City.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry visited the Safe City Headquarters. On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the monitoring system of Islamabad city on the digital wall.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi observed the measures taken to ensure public order through modern technology. He also inspected the security surveillance at the special Chinese desk in the control room.
