Charge against Imran Khan is for not returning cipher copy, IHC told

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard the PTI founder Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s appeals against their conviction in the cipher case on Thursday.

A division bench of IHC, comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, conducted the hearing.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prosecutor retired Justice Hamid Shah appeared before the court. The FIA prosecutor said that the charge against the founder PTI is for not returning the cipher copy,

Chief Justice Amir Farooq inquired what is meant by the container.

In response, the FIA prosecutor said that the document was sent in a container which was a leather bag, and the recipient of the cipher copy handled it.
