ISLAMABAD: With the arrival of the holy month, Ramadan bazaars have been set up in the federal capital, Islamabad, where a rush of buyers is being seen.
Citizens are being supplied with quality chicken, groceries, fresh vegetables, and fruits at government prices.
According to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon, a total of 7 Ramadan bazaars have been established across the city to provide relief to the people during the holy month.
The responsibility of arranging each Ramadan bazaar has been entrusted to the concerned Assistant Commissioner, while the availability of stock and implementation of government rates will also be the responsibility of the Assistant Commissioner.
The DC Islamabad says that price control magistrates will be present in every bazaar at all times, and citizens can immediately bring any complaint to the notice of the concerned Price Control Magistrate.
According to Irfan Memon, steps have also been taken regarding a cashless system in all bazaars to make the shopping process more convenient. Apart from this, parking, security, and cleanliness arrangements have also been ensured.
DC Islamabad clarified that government relief on food and beverages will be provided to citizens in any case and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
