Femal police officers in Islamabad accuse colleagues for harassment, investigation underway

ISLAMABAD: A troubling report has surfaced alleging the harassment of female police officials assigned to Islamabad’s Security Division.

Several officers have come forward with complaints against male colleagues, including a head constable and a deputy constable, accusing them of subjecting them to harassment under the pretext of official duty assignments.

As per the media reports, the female officers claim they have faced repeated harassment, which has left them considering resigning from their positions due to the ongoing distress.

The allegations have been formally submitted to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Security Division for review.

A police spokesperson confirmed that an internal investigation into the matter has been initiated, and the officers accused of harassment have been temporarily reassigned pending the outcome fo the inquiry.
