Few injured in gas leakage blast at NUML Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: At least four people were injured in a gas leakage blast at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad on Tuesday evening.

The blast occurred in the university’s Iqbal Block, engulfing a classroom and burning a few students and teachers.

The varsity’s official Facebook account also confirmed that a gas leakage blast at the university today caused a few injuries.

“Situation is under control. We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured ones,” the spokesperson wrote.

As per details, two students, who were fully burned out, have been shifted to the hospital and are in critical condition. While others with minor injuries were given first aid at the university’s dispensary.

Islamabad Police spokesperson Jawad Taqi said that four people were injured. “The fire brigade has extinguished the blaze,” he said.
