Free meal program starts in Islamabad’s govt schools

ISLAMABAD: The federal government started the implementation of free food programs in federal government educational institutions on Tuesday.

According to the details, in the first phase, lunch will be given in 40 primary schools this week. Free food will be given in 20 schools each in the Tarnool and Nilore areas of Islamabad.

Federal Education Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani,  had announced free meals for children along with the provision of facilities in primary schools.

Secretary Education said that a midday meal is being given to children with the support of the government and Allahwale Trust. In the next two months, the free food program will be started in all primary schools.
