DOHA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the Arab Islamic Emergency Summit, said that Israel violated the sovereignty and security of our brotherly country Qatar. Israel must be held accountable for war crimes. History will not forgive if no action is taken.

The Arab Islamic Emergency Summit in Doha, the capital of Qatar, was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that we are united in the context of an important and sad incident. Israel violated the sovereignty and security of our brotherly country Qatar.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan expresses complete solidarity with Qatar. Israel’s attack on Qatar is a continuation of aggressive actions. Israel dealt a severe blow to peace efforts through aggression.

He demanded that the UN Security Council impose an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and allow immediate access to medical personnel in Gaza.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that we all condemn Israel’s aggression, instead of remaining silent, we have to unite, after this aggression the question is why did Israel pretend to hold talks? Israel’s flouting of international laws is condemnable.

He said that humanity is groaning in Gaza, Israel must be held accountable for war crimes against humanity. We support the proposal to suspend Israel’s membership in the United Nations. We demand immediate and emergency assistance to the civilian population in Gaza.

The Prime Minister said that we want the establishment of an independent Palestinian state according to the 1967 borders, if we do not take steps with collective wisdom, history will not forgive us.

It should be noted that the emergency summit was called to condemn Israel’s attack on Qatar and discuss its impact on the region in detail.

The heads of more than 50 member states attended the meeting.
