ISLAMABAD: Former DG ISI Lieutenant General (retd) Zaheerul Islam says it is the need of the hour to support Imran Khan.

According to private news channel report, former DG ISI Lieutenant General (retd) Zaheer-ul-Islam held a function in honor of PTI candidate Shabir Awan at his ancestral home in Motor area of ​​Kahuta.

Zaheer-ul-Islam, is a retired Lieutenant-General who served as the 20th Director-General of the ISI. He was appointed to the position on 9 March 2012.

Addressing the gathering, former DG ISI Zaheer-ul-Islam announced his support for PTI candidate Shabir Awan in the by-elections.

Launching a regular election campaign for the PTI candidate, Zaheer-ul-Islam said that it is the need of the hour to support Imran Khan.

It may be recalled that the by-election in Punjab Assembly constituency PP-7 Rawalpindi is scheduled to be held on July 17 after the PTI defector was notified.
