Japan tourist visa: Documents, application guidelines, Here’s all you need to know

JAPAN: Japan beckons tourists with its unique blend of timeless traditions and cutting-edge innovation, attracting over 2.4 million international visitors in 2023. From Kyoto’s serene temples to Tokyo’s vibrant streets, travelers can immerse themselves in a rich cultural tapestry.

Travelers can immerse themselves in the country’s heritage, exploring historic sites and experiencing the contrast between traditional and modern Japan.

Natural wonders abound, with iconic Mount Fuji and breathtaking cherry blossom season views. Food enthusiasts will delight in Japan’s unique culinary experiences, including sushi and ramen.

Minimum Bank Statement for Japan’s Tourist Visa

Visa applicants, it is required to submit a bank statement for the last three months as evidence of having funds.

Reports said the applicant must have a minimum Rs1 million in the bank account at the time of applying for single entry visit visa.

If you are applying for a multiple entry visit visa, the applicant must have a minimum of Rs2.5 million in the bank account.

Exploring Japan’s diverse regions is effortless, thanks to the country’s efficient public transportation system. Visit historic castles in Hokkaido, relax on tropical beaches in Okinawa, or discover hidden gems in between.

Required Documents for Japan’s Visa

To apply for a Japan tourist visa, certain documents are mandatory. First, ensure you have a valid passport and a copy of the personal status page. Additionally, submit a completed Visa Application Form accompanied by one photograph (4.5cm x 4.5cm) with a white background.

A flight itinerary issued by a travel agency or airline office, as well as a detailed itinerary outlining places you plan to visit and stay, are also required. Confirm your accommodations by providing a Hotel Booking. Furthermore, obtain a Certificate of Employment or a letter from your organization/institution verifying the purpose of your visit.

Business owners must provide their Business Profile, including Chamber, NTN, or SECP registration. Financial documentation, such as a copy of your bank statement for the last three months, is also necessary. If someone else is sponsoring your trip, submit documents verifying your relationship with the sponsor.

Students must attach a copy of their Student Card (A4 size), while all applicants must provide a copy of their CNIC (A4 size) and a Family Registration Certificate (FRC).

It is essential to ensure all documents are complete and accurate to avoid delays in the application process. Note that the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan requires applicants to submit their applications through VFS Global or Gerry’s Visa.

For Pakistani citizens interested in exploring Japan, obtaining a visit visa is mandatory before entering the country. Important note: The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan does not accept visa applications directly.
