KARACHI: A tragic incident has occurred in Karachi’s Defence Khayaban-e-Sehar area, where a five-year-old boy’s body and six unconscious family members were recovered from a bungalow.

According to SSP South Sajid Sadozai, the unconscious individuals include Dr. Ziauddin Sheikh, his wife, and four children aged between 16 and 8 years old.

The deceased child has been identified as five-year-old Moinuddin, while the unconscious siblings include Zara, 16, Zohaib, 13, Shahzaib, 11, and eight-year-old Jannat.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the family’s unconsciousness may be linked to fumigation conducted recently at their residence. The affected family members were initially taken to Sir Syed Hospital, later shifted to South City Hospital, and are now being moved to Aga Khan Hospital for further treatment.

The police are conducting further investigations into the incident to determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
