Karachi weather forecast: City to experience rain in upcoming days

KARACHI: Karachi and other areas in Sindh are preparing for rain, wind, and thunderstorms expected on Friday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Partly cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, rain-windstorms/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Sukkur, Khairpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Hyderabad, shaheed Benazir Abad and surrounding areas.

A westerly wave is currently present over western parts of Pakistan and is anticipated to affect most upper and central regions of the country by Friday.

In terms of temperatures, Karachi’s maximum temperatures are forecast to range between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius on Friday. Similarly, Hyderabad is expected to see maximum temperatures between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius on Friday.

Over the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather has been prevalent in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most districts of Sindh.
