KARACHI: The Karachi Commissioner has issued a new notification raising the official price of milk by Rs20 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs220 per liter.

Previously, the official price of milk in Karachi was Rs200 per liter. The new price will apply to all retailers and consumers in the city.

The notification also specifies that dairy farms will be able to sell milk at Rs 195 per liter, while wholesalers will purchase it at Rs205 per liter.

The price increase has been attributed to rising costs of production and feed for dairy animals.
