KARACHI: In a significant development, the heirs of the victims of the Karsaz accident have settled with suspect Natasha Danish, who was involved in a fatal traffic accident that claimed the lives of two people and injured three others.
An affidavit has been prepared for the heirs of the deceased father Imran Arif and his daughter Amina Arif. The affidavit will be presented today in the hearing of the accused’s bail application.
An objection certificate will be filed on behalf of the heirs against the accused’s bail application. The objection certificate will be filed by Romana Imran, the wife of the deceased Imran Arif, and their children, Osama Arif and Umme Ammara.
The affidavit stated “We have settled the matter among ourselves. We have forgiven the accused. We have forgiven her in the name of Allah, who is the most merciful and benevolent. We have no objection to granting bail to the accused. The accident that occurred was not done intentionally. We have given this objection certificate without any pressure. Whatever we have said in the affidavit is true”.
Earlier, Natasha Danish was arrested and booked for reckless driving after her SUV collided with another vehicle on August 19, resulting in the tragic deaths of a man and his daughter and injuring three other people.
While pronouncing the order on Friday, the court allowed the bail plea given an out-of-court settlement reached by the applicants with the legal heirs of the traffic accident deceased.
The court granted each applicant bail to Natasha in the sum of Rs100,000 surety.
