RAWALPINDI: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur held a long meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
Political situation, party affairs, and provincial matters were discussed in the meeting, according to media reports.
Ali Amin Gandapur reached Adiala Jail at 9 am, where he met the PTI founder in the jail’s conference room. The meeting lasted for two hours.
Sources said that Ali Amin briefed Imran Khan on issues related to governance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the latest situation in the province.
The PTI founder provided guidance to the Chief Minister on party policies, public relief measures, and organizational matters.
On the other hand, the District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad cancelled the non-bailable arrest warrants issued against Ali Amin in the audio leak case after the appearance of Ali Amin’s lawyer.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s petition for a meeting with Imran Khan was returned with objections from the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court regarding the issue of not allowing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to meet PTI founder Imran Khan.
The petition, making the federal and Punjab governments parties, has taken the position that despite the court order, the PTI founder is not being met, although a meeting with the party’s founding leader is indispensable for consultation.
The petition filed in the Supreme Court has requested that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister be allowed to meet the PTI founder.
