PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi has issued a strong statement, asserting that if they march to D-Chowk this time, they will return either with freedom or in coffins.

Addressing a public rally in Kohat, Afridi criticized attempts to suppress the founder of PTI, alleging that even judicial access has been blocked.

Afridi claimed that those tasked with protecting their mandate have instead turned against them, saying, “Our protectors have become our killers.” He also condemned media personalities for issuing threats of violence against them at night.

He said PTI chairman Imran Khan has entrusted Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas with managing protests and negotiations, urging supporters to be ready to respond whenever called.

Afridi emphasized that their collective aim is to reclaim true freedom from the current authorities.

Highlighting corruption in the federal government, Afridi alleged that 5,300 billion PKR has been embezzled, pushing Pakistan’s debt to 80,000 billion PKR.

He further said that while investment is increasing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it has declined in Punjab. Afridi warned that the provincial government has no option but to stand up for true freedom and said the so-called “fake government” uses threats of violence to intimidate them.

Afridi also said that the imprisonment of Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, in fabricated cases to pressure Khan, asserting that they will not yield.
