RAWALPINDI: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced to file a contempt of court petition for not letting hi a meeting with Imran Khan despite court orders.
While talking at the Dahgal checkpoint, he said that we are filing a contempt of court petition because the orders of three judges have been violated.
Our leaders’ cases are not being heard in the Supreme Court (SC). We are here to tell the Supreme Court that all our lawyers are standing behind you, and the SC should establish the supremacy of the Constitution.
He said that justice is not being done in Pakistan, and decisions are being made on someone’s orders.
We believe that the day justice is done, Imran Khan will be out of jail. The judges themselves have written a letter stating that their decisions are being interfered with.
We are telling the judges that Pakistan has a democracy, and the people are the source of power in a democracy; the judges should name the people who are interfering in the decisions.
Sohail Afridi said that the fact that I am not meeting does not mean that I am not receiving messages from Imran Khan.
The journalist asked, “If you are receiving messages, then why is the cabinet not being formed?” To this, the Chief Minister said, “The question is, why am I not being allowed to meet the founder? While I have come here with the mandate of the people.
