PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to lay off government employees hired during the previous caretaker government’s tenure.
During the cabinet meeting today, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced against giving salaries to the ‘illegally’ recruited employees during the interim setup.
Gandapur further said that those recruited legally and on merit will be dismissed. “The caretaker government did not have the authority to recruit 1800 employees,” the chief minister said.
Moreover, Chief Minister Gandapur said that the KP govt is ready to bear their protest.
Taking on the caretaker government, he said that they committed corruption over the recruitment process. The portfolios of the minister were shared among the caretakers government officials and their handlers.
