KP Govt launches inquiry into Judge’s Toshakhana ruling against Imran Khan

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has started an inquiry against Judge Humayun Dilawar and his family, here on Tuesday.

As per the details, KP’s anti-corruption department has started a secret inquiry against Judge Humayun Dilawar and his family in Bannu.

The KP government had initiated an inquiry against Judge Humayun Dilawar a few months after delivering the verdict against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana case.

Informed officials said that the anti-corruption KPK has sought the details of all the assets of Judge Humayun Dilawar and his family from all relevant agencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

After receiving complaints against Judge Humayun Dilawar, Anti-Corruption has started an inquiry to investigate the facts, spokesperson KP Govt Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif confirmed to the media.

Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that ‘the investigation is in the initial stage, if evidence is found, action will be taken’.

He added that if the anti-corruption agency does not find any evidence, the inquiry will be terminated.

Officials added that KP Anti-Corruption has sought details of family property of Judge Humayun Dilawar and his family members from Bannu district administration, tax authorities, revenue board and SECP.

The department also sought records of the progress made in Union Council Mohmand Khel.

Also, the revenue department submitted the records of the housing society, CPEC resident, built on Dilawar Khan’s family land in Bannu, to the Anti-Corruption Department.

Officials further said that the property records of the Dilawar family have been sought from the Anti-Corruption Circle. According to Ahmad Sadiq, lawyer of Dilawar family and CEO of CPEC Residency Society, Judge Humayun Dilawar and his family members are being targeted for revenge without any reason.

Available records, obtained exclusively from the authorities concerned, suggest that the land under investigation and two development projects were initiated by PTI legislators during the previous regime. The official records further state that the land was acquired even before 1969 and there was no dispute over the said matter after 1998.

After completing all the legal formalities, the housing society is being constructed on the family’s inherited land which currently has no legal dispute with anyone, Ahmed Sadiq said, adding that all formalities were completed before the Tosha Khana case last year. were done

On the alleged conflict of interest, he said, “Development works in Bannu, including bridges, were included by the previous provincial government in its annual development budget programme.” Lawyer Ahmed Sadiq further said that the PTI government is only targeting the Dilawar family because of the Tosha Khana case.
