PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the launch of an important relief scheme for motorcycle and scooter owners, the “Ehsaas Fuel Support Program”. This initiative has been taken to protect the low-income group from the effects of inflation.
According to the government, this program is being launched under the direction of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi in accordance with the vision of Imran Khan. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to registered motorcycle and scooter owners. Under this program, eligible individuals will be given a monthly fuel support of Rs 2,000.
The condition for eligibility is that the motorcycle or scooter should be registered in the applicant’s own name and the transfer of registration has been completed. People who have an unregistered or registered vehicle in someone else’s name will not be eligible for this scheme.
For registration, citizens will have to use the “Dastak App”. To apply, first download the app from the Play Store or App Store, then create an account as a user. After that, the vehicle’s registration number and chassis number will be entered and the district will be selected.
The applicant will have to provide his complete information, including name, father’s name, national identity card number, registered mobile number and complete address. After this, the application will be submitted. The application will be accompanied by the national identity card (front and back), registration book or smart card, clear photograph of the vehicle and, in case of transfer, verification of both the seller and the buyer is mandatory.
According to the government, the applications will be verified through e-Sahulat, while the Excise and Taxation Office (ETO) will give final approval after verification. The applicant will be informed of the approval or rejection of the application. The authorities have clarified that in case of providing incorrect information, the application will be rejected, while the application will not be accepted even if the name transfer is not completed. Verification of both parties has been made necessary in the case of transfer. The registration process will start from April 6.
