KP govt seals Daewoo Bus Terminal in Peshawar over old buses

PESHAWAR: The District administration Peshawar sealed the Daewoo Bus Terminal in the provinical capital on Monday for not replacing the old buses and opearting them on the route of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s southern districts.

In a joint operation with the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), District Administration took action in light of the directives of the KP government, state-run APP reported.

The provincial government has taken notice of the operation of old buses on various routes, particularly southern districts and served notice on the transport company to replace them.

In a joint oepration, the officials of district adminstarion and RTA sealed the G.T. Road termainal of bus company and placed conceret blocks at the entry gate to stop buses.

Concerned authoties have directed the management of the Daewoo Bus Service to arrange new buses for the route of the southern districts and strictly following the official code of conduct, otherwise legal proceedings would be initiated against them.

Earleri in 2022, Daewoo Bus Terminal in Peshawar was sealed due to outdated busesm poor hygiene, and lack of facilites in waiting rooms.
