PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to release salaries and pensions ahead of schedule due to the upcoming weekend holidays.
Government employees and retired officials will receive their payments on February 28 instead of March 1, as the first two days of March are weekly holidays, both Saturday and Sunday.
A statement from the provincial finance department confirmed the decision, saying, “Salaries of government employees and pensions of retired workers, which were originally scheduled to be paid on March 1, will now be paid on February 28 to avoid delays caused by the weekend.”
The move ensures timely payments and prevents disruptions in financial transactions for government sector workers in the province.
