ISLAMABAD: In exciting news, the Kuwait administration has removed the ban on Pakistanis after 15 years, providing them opportunities to work in Kuwait through skilled worker visa.
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) will be restarted for sending skilled workers to Kuwait, the state-run media reported Monday.
Kuwait formally lifted the ban in May, reopening the work, family, business, and tourist visa application for Pakistanis. The ban, originally imposed on security grounds, had also applied to Iranian, Syrian, and Afghan citizens.
The Overseas Employment Corporation, which falls under the OP&HRD Ministry, will be responsible for recruiting and dispatching Pakistani workers to Kuwait.
To apply for warehouse supervisor posts, candidates should be below 35 years old, have a diploma or bachelor’s degree, possess a fluent command of English, and have experience working in retail warehouses or in logistics operations.
Submission of documents for the vacant posts is due by August 15, 2025. Remittances by Pakistanis working abroad continue to be a major source of foreign exchange reserves of the country, which are important in the face of persistent economic problems.
Pakistan and Kuwait have had diplomatic relations since October 1963 and have been cooperating in labor, trade, and other areas. The reopening of the deployment of workers is likely to further enhance labor market cooperation between the two nations.
