Lahore ATC sentences PTI leaders in May 9 violence cases

ISLAMABAD: The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court has pronounced the verdict in two cases related to the May 9 tragedy.

The verdict was pronounced in the cases of burning a container at Kalma Chowk and a police vehicle in Gulberg. The court sentenced Dr. Yasmin Rashid and other leaders to ten years in prison each.

33 accused were named in the case of burning a container at Kalma Chowk on May 9, the trial of 29 accused was completed, and 4 accused were declared absconders.

Ijaz Chaudhry and Umar Sarfaraz Cheema were also sentenced to ten years in prison.
