Lahore: .The Lahore High Court ordered to seal the pollution creating factories
Justice Shahid Karim of the High Court heard the petition of citizen Haroon Farooq to remedy the smog, while Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa appeared before the court during the hearing.
During the hearing, the court ordered that the factories which are emitting black smoke be sealed and they will not be de-sealed until their owners give an affidavit.
The court ordered to give an affidavit that the factory will be demolished if there is a repeat violation.

Justice Shahid Karim remarked that these two months are very important, it seems we are going on the right path now, PDMA is sleeping, we wake them up, if any vehicle is causing smog. Picture it, from next year we will have to take big steps at the beginning.
Commissioner Lahore said that action will be taken indiscriminately against smog-emitting vehicles, we have also instructed the traffic police to stop vehicles that spread smog.
Mohammad Ali Randhawa said that we have taken a lot of steps for the trend of cycling, we have talked to TEPA to make a track for cycling, we will try to provide discounts on hotels for cyclists.
The court directed that you involve the private sector also, we can resume cycling in these five, six months. Commissioner Lahore said that we will now advertise in the newspaper that cutting trees is a crime. Later, the court adjourned the case till November 7 for further hearing.
